Homeownership difficulties are a significant pain point for youth development in Macao. The New Youth Association has consistently focused on the housing issues faced by young people, advocating for the government to introduce new types of housing, implement precise policies, meet the homeownership needs of different social strata for stable living and career development, ensure the healthy and orderly development of the property market, and rekindle hope for homeownership among the youth.
Based on the public consultation launched by the government last month on the Sandwich Class Housing Scheme, the New Youth Association has been continuously gathering opinions from young people. They have proposed a youth-focused scheme addressing the definition of "Sandwich Class Housing," eligibility criteria, acquisition mechanisms, resale regulations, and more. This event aims to introduce and explain this proposal to the public, hoping to stimulate social discussion on sandwich housing and gather public opinions and feedback.
