Competition Format
Participating teams will write articles on current affairs and socio-political topics in Macau, followed by live presentations and Q&A sessions on the competition day.
Debate Topics
Teams will engage with one of the following topics:
- Assessing the strengths and weaknesses of Macau's cultural and creative industries development.
- Should the government give young people a 'vat of rice' or a 'world map'?
- Macau's opportunities and challenges from the perspectives of industrial development and population mobility.
- How to balance environmental protection with cultural preservation amidst rapid social development?
- Is Macau a cultural desert? What measures should the government take to develop Macau's culture?
- What is your view on Macau's gaming industry? Are young people limited to dealer jobs?
- As a member of society, how should you oversee good governance by the government?
- Media and human rights in Macau.
