Event Purpose
"New Star" represents the vast student body (莘莘學子) and the shining stars in the sky. The event aims to discover diverse artistic talents among students and provide them with a platform to showcase their brilliance.
One of the main goals is to encourage students to build their youth with creativity and dreams, hoping to stimulate their talents and gifts, boost their self-confidence, and help them achieve their own performance space. This promotes the all-round development of students in their academic journey and aims to show the vibrant side of Macau's students to the public.
Eligibility
All students studying in Macau or Macau residents studying abroad are eligible to participate.
Event Details
- Performance Format: Unlimited
- Participants: Can register individually or as a team. Team size should not exceed 25 people.
- Performance Duration: Not exceeding 10 minutes (including stage setup, entry/exit time, etc.)
- Selection Method: Local experienced professionals will select twelve performance units from the participants to perform at the gala.

Registration Methods
- In-person Registration: Submit the completed application form, a copy of a valid student ID, a performance sample, and the registration fee to the Hui Jing Centre before the deadline.
- Online Registration: Complete the electronic application form and send it along with a copy of a valid student ID and the performance sample to [email protected]. The registration fee must be paid to the Hui Jing Centre within three days of receiving the confirmation email.
*Note: The performance sample submitted with the application must be in video format, converted to AVI / WMV / MOV / MP4, and stored on a USB drive, external hard drive (USB/external drive will be returned immediately), or cloud storage.

MOP 10 per person
*Note: For team registration, the fee is the total number of team members multiplied by MOP 10. Example: For a team of 10, the registration fee is MOP 100.
