During the Lunar New Year period, Macao's famous landmark, Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro (New Road), was transformed into a pedestrian zone. Spanning approximately 450 meters from Rua do Almirante Sérgio to Rua Central, the zone was divided into three distinct themed sections, offering a brand-new tourism and walking experience.
Zone Highlights
- Magic Moment Section: From Rua do Almirante Sérgio to Rua da Caldeira. Decorated with colorful clouds and featuring nighttime light projections.
- Forest Trail Section: From Rua da Caldeira to Rua dos Mercadores. Covered with irregular artificial greenery to create a relaxed, urban forest atmosphere.
- City Oasis Section: From Rua dos Mercadores to Largo do Senado. Equipped with sun umbrellas, tables, and chairs set up as a tea garden for visitors to rest.
Features & Activities
- Giant fortune rabbit sculptures.
- Art installations including "Blooming Lotus," "Encounter," and "Harmony."
- Multiple "Art Wander Points" for street performances by Art Wanderers.
- Demonstrations of Macao's Intangible Cultural Heritage skills.
- Curated selection of creative cultural products and local F&B stalls.
