New Director Project 2015: The Hanging Stray Cat
A theatrical production exploring the essence of performance through the story of an actor's crisis of confidence.
Synopsis
An actor forgets his lines during the final dress rehearsal, loses his confidence in performing, and flees the theater, forcing the show to be canceled. Unexpectedly, on the day of the performance, he returns to the theater. He silently converses with everything that was prepared—the cleaning lady, the backstage crew, the director, and the audience—initiating a discussion on the nature of performance. In his moment of confusion, the backstage crew presents him with a performance that doesn't exist.
