About the Competition
To encourage students to unleash their creativity and imagination while promoting the concepts of green building and energy conservation, the Macao Science Center is co-organizing the "National Primary School Green Building Painting Competition – 'Our Green Home' Macau Selection" for the first time with the China Green Building and Energy Saving (Macau) Association. The organizer, the Green Building Committee of the Chinese Society for Urban Studies, aims to enhance students' understanding of green building and low-carbon energy-saving concepts through this competition. Participants are invited to express and showcase their ideal green home through painting, based on their personal understanding of green architecture.
Competition Details
- Eligibility: Open to all primary school students in Macau.
- Age Groups:
- Junior Group (Primary 1 to Primary 3)
- Senior Group (Primary 4 to Primary 6)
- Submission Period: January 11 to March 10, 2025 (until 5:00 PM).
- Prizes:
- First Prize: 15 winners
- Second Prize: 15 winners
- Third Prize: 15 winners
- Recognition:
- All participating students will receive a certificate of participation.
- Schools that actively organize participation will receive a certificate of appreciation.
Further Opportunities
- The organizer will select 15 outstanding works to advance to the national competition.
- The top 50 national finalists' paintings will be published in a collection and/or exhibited at the Macao Science Center for further promotion of green environmental concepts.
- Selected winners and their families will have the opportunity to be invited to experience a green passive hotel stay in Zhejiang Province.
- Winning works will be publicly exhibited at the "International Conference on Green Building and Building Energy Efficiency & New Technology and Product Expo."
