Since MOWAVE's inception, we've received many inquiries from friends asking how to get to know and produce electronic music. Therefore, this Thursday night, we are collaborating with Terra Coffee House to host this free event. Everyone is welcome to come and join the fun!
What is electronic music? Is it the most trendy, cutting-edge musical form? Does performing it just involve pressing a few buttons? How does one get started with understanding and playing electronic music? This time, we have invited several members of the local electronic music organization MOWAVE to introduce some gear used in making electronic music. Let's 'play with the machines' together! They will cover equipment like synthesizers and drum machines, providing everyone with the most 'basic' introductory knowledge.
MOWAVE is a music project initiated by numerous musicians from Macau. It features various musicians primarily focused on electronic music, ambient music, and experimental music styles. Since 2012, they have organized different music performances under the name MOWAVE and released their first music compilation album, Mowave: Soundscape, in 2015.
