Architectural Concept Design Competition

An open competition to design a barrier-free walking system for Mong Há Hill Municipal Park, aiming to improve pedestrian connectivity between the Areia Preta and Fai Chi Kei districts.

Organizers

• The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM)
• Architects Association of Macau (AAM)

Objective

To re-plan the access route for Mong Ha Hill by introducing a barrier-free walking system. The goals are to:

• Enhance convenience for citizens traveling on foot.
• Optimize transport connection and accessibility between Areia Preta and Fai Chi Kei.
• Improve community facilities.

Awards & Prizes

Award Winners (No more than five entries)

Each winning team/individual will receive:

• Prize money: MOP 150,000.00
• Award Certificate
• Invitation from IAM to participate in the subsequent Design Tender for the construction project. Design Tender details will be provided by IAM at a later date.

Honorable Mentions (Five entries)

Each team/individual will receive:

• Prize money: MOP 50,000.00
• Award Certificate

• Last date of competition submission: August 24, 2020 (Monday)
• Jury judging period & announcement of results: End of August to beginning of September 2020
