Event Overview

The Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) and the Macau Federation of Neighbourhood Associations (MFNA) jointly organized the "Mid-Autumn Mooncake Box Recycling Drive 2017" during the Mid-Autumn Festival period. The campaign aimed to promote messages about keeping the city clean and protecting the environment. By encouraging residents to participate directly in the recycling effort, the event sought to raise awareness about resource waste, the concept of recycling and reuse, the importance of waste reduction at source, and to minimize resource wastage associated with festive celebrations.

How to Participate

Participants could visit any participating recycling unit during the campaign period. For each mooncake box recycled, they received one lucky draw ticket, with no limit on the number of tickets one could obtain. To be eligible for the prize draw, participants had to fill in their personal details on the ticket.

Prize List

• 1st Prize: MOP 3,000
• 2nd Prize: MOP 2,000
• 3rd Prize: MOP 1,000
• 4th to 10th Prize: MOP 500 each
• 11th to 30th Prize: MOP 200 supermarket vouchers each
• 31st to 50th Prize: MOP 100 supermarket vouchers each

Recycling Locations

Recycling points were set up across Macau in four main districts:

Northern District

• IACM Points: Taishan Service Station, Fai Chi Kei Service Station, Northern District Civic Service Centre, Mong-Há Hill Environmental Information Centre.
• MFNA Points & Residential Buildings: Various neighbourhood associations, community centres, and numerous housing estates in Fai Chi Kei, Areia Preta, Iao Hon, and other areas.

Central District

• IACM Points: Central District Service Station, Central District Civic Service Centre, Flora Garden Environmental Information Centre.
• MFNA Points & Residential Buildings: Numerous neighbourhood associations, activity centres, and housing estates in areas like San Kio, Patane, Horta e Costa, and Avenida de Horta e Costa.

Southern District

• IACM Points: Praia do Manduco Service Station.
• MFNA Points & Residential Buildings: Neighbourhood associations and housing estates in Praia do Manduco, Nam Sai Van, Barra, and ZAPE.

Islands District

• IACM Points: Islands District Civic Service Centre.
• MFNA Points & Residential Buildings: Taipa Neighbourhood Association, Taipa Community Centre, Seac Pai Van Family and Community Integrated Service Centre, and many housing estates across Taipa.

Important Rules & Notes

• Lucky draw tickets had to be deposited into the collection boxes at recycling points on or before October 20, 2017.
• Participants must fill in their name (matching ID document) and phone number clearly on the ticket.
• Winners' list and event details were available on the IACM Environmental Information website: http://www.iacm.gov.mo/sal. Winners were also notified individually.
• Personal data collected was used solely for participant verification and winner notification.
• The organizers reserved the final right of interpretation and decision.
