Submission Call

An open call for local films to be part of the 'Made in Macao' program within the Macao International Film & Video Festival 2013.

Eligibility

• Open to films produced by Macao residents/artists OR films shot in Macao.
• Individual works: The participant must be a Macao resident or artist.
• Group works: If the entry is created by a team, over half of the creative members must be residents or artists.
• Film length and format are unrestricted.
• Advertisements and music videos are not eligible.
• Priority will be given to works that have not been publicly screened in Macao.
• Films previously submitted to past editions of the Macao International Film & Video Festival are not eligible.

Awards (Competition Section)

• Grand Jury Prize (1 winner): MOP 25,000 + CCM voucher worth MOP 2,000
• Jury's Choice Award (one each for Short Film/Animation/Feature): MOP 10,000 + CCM voucher worth MOP 2,000

Submission Details

• Submission Deadline: January 25, 2013, 6:00 PM
• Drop-off Location: Reception Desk, 1st Floor, Macao Cultural Centre
• Required Materials:
  • Completed application form
  • 3 copies of the film sample with Chinese & English subtitles (DVD format only; unfinished works not accepted)
  • Synopsis (200 words each in Chinese & English/Portuguese)
  • Director's statement (150 words each in Chinese & English/Portuguese)
  • Director's biography (150 words each in Chinese & English/Portuguese), filmography (if applicable), and photo (at least 300 dpi)
  • Complete cast and crew list (in Chinese & English/Portuguese)
  • 3 different film stills (at least 300 dpi)
  • A 30-second trailer
  • Poster and other promotional materials (optional)
• All submitted materials will not be returned.

Important Notes

• Preliminary results will be notified by email; selected films will be publicly screened at the Macao International Film & Video Festival 2013.
• The organizer reserves all rights regarding event changes and participant disqualification.
• The jury's decision is final.
