Macau Tourism & Culture Cork Postcard Design Competition 2014
To support the Macau Tourism Awareness Programme, the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and the Macau Heritage Ambassadors Association (MHAA) jointly present this design competition. The deadline for registration and submission is May 30, 2014. All interested Macau residents and students are welcome to participate.
Competition Details
- Theme: Design a postcard based on attractions from one of the four "Step Out, Experience Macao's Communities" walking routes launched by MGTO.
- Route Themes: "Historic Trail", "Creative & Green", "Sino-Portuguese Legacy", and "Arts & Culture Exploration".
- Objective: As stated by MHAA Vice President Chan Cheng, the competition aims to deepen the understanding of Macau's tourism, history, and local culture among youth and citizens through the process of conception, planning, and design. It also strives to promote local tourism development and provide a platform for designers to showcase their creative thinking.
Participation & Submission
- Eligibility: Open to holders of a valid Macau Resident Identity Card.
- Categories: Student Category and Open Category.
- Deadline: May 30, 2014 (Friday).
- Submission Method:
- Electronic: Upload the application form, copyright assignment agreement, creator's declaration, and up to two design drafts to http://www.mhaa.org.mo.
- Physical: Submit paper copies to M-Axis Space (Ground Floor B, 20 Rua da Bateria, Macau).
Judging & Prizes
- Judges: Representatives from the organizing bodies and related professionals.
- Criteria: Relevance to theme, technical creativity, and visual aesthetics.
- Prizes (for each category): Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up (one each), and three Merit Awards.
- Rewards: Winners will receive certificates and cash prizes.
- Result Announcement: June 2014 on the association's website.
