The Macau String Association presents its anniversary concert, 'String Bloom,' featuring a collaboration with young musicians Zhang Hailiang and Wang Yifan. The program showcases a selection of classical masterpieces.
The Macau Youth Chamber Orchestra is a string ensemble under the Macau String Association, established in 2013. Its purpose is to provide formal chamber music training for local young string players in Macau, fostering and discovering local youth and musical talent. It offers a structured environment for string instrument training and collective performance practice. The members come from various secondary school string orchestras in Macau, as well as university students and working professionals. Since its founding, the orchestra has participated in numerous events organized by the String Association.
The Macau String Association aims to enhance the performance level and technique of local string players, promote musical exchange and friendship among members, and improve the teaching and training quality of local string music educators. This creates a better learning environment for the next generation. The association also provides performance opportunities, event information, and advisory services for its members, assists local institutions in organizing string exchange meetings, workshops, and lectures, and helps organize members to participate in and host major music events. Since its establishment, the association has been dedicated to promoting the development and dissemination of music in Macau, with a focus on string music.
