About the Organizer
The Macau Stand-up Comedy Association was established in early 2022 as a non-profit organization. Its mission is to develop and promote stand-up comedy exchange performances between Macau and other regions, as well as to popularize stand-up comedy education.
- Their debut show, "Talk Kings Stand-up Comedy – April Fool's Edition," was held on April 1, 2022, with three consecutive sold-out shows that required extra seating, attracting hundreds of supportive audience members.
- To promote the development of stand-up comedy in Macau, the association hosts monthly open mic sessions, providing a platform for training, practice, and performance for aspiring comedians.
- They also organize a quarterly premium showcase, inviting renowned Mandarin and Cantonese stand-up comedians from mainland China to perform and exchange with local Macau actors.
