The Macau New Year Concert is a local high-art cultural brand established by the Macau Youth Symphony Orchestra. It is an internationally-caliber "Vienna New Year's Concert" and a high-level musical celebration featuring Macau-born performers.
Over the past three years, the concert has featured collaborations with the Portuguese National Symphony Orchestra, the Belgian Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra. The opportunity to perform alongside European professional orchestras and stand on world-class stages has made the Macau Youth Symphony Orchestra a source of pride for Macau.
This year, the Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado de México (Mexican State Symphony Orchestra) is invited to Macau. Under the baton of conductor Enrique Bátiz, they will perform a selection of classic masterpieces—a rare and exceptional opportunity. Performing with this world-renowned orchestra will enhance the festive atmosphere of the season and continue the high standard of the "Macau New Year Concert."
