The 2017 Macau International Volunteer Camp continues with the theme of 'Nezha Festival'. It aims to provide local and international volunteers with an opportunity to learn about the significance of World Heritage conservation, promote Macau's Historic Centre to the world, and enhance communication skills and broaden horizons through cultural exchange.
Event Details
- Theme: Inheriting the Nezha Festival Culture in Macau's Historic Centre
- Dates: June 7–16, 2017 (10 days, 9 nights, with special 3-day sessions available)
- Camp Location: Macau YMCA Hostel
- Target Participants: Local and overseas volunteers aged 18 to 45
- Language: Primarily English (smiles and body language are welcome as supplementary communication)
- Quota: 18 people (6 Macau volunteers, 12 international volunteers)
- Fee for Macau Participants: MOP 600 for non-members, MOP 500 for members (payable upon acceptance)
How to Apply
- Interested individuals must complete the online application form or submit in person at the association's office by May 25.
- Special session options:
- Option 1: Full participation
- Option 2: World Heritage exploration
- Option 3: Experience the Nezha Festival
- Option 4: Savor Macau
- Full-participation applicants will be given priority. If applications exceed the quota, interviews will be conducted for selection.
- Interviews will be held on May 26–27. Selection will be based on the applicant's enthusiasm, proactiveness, and English proficiency.
