Overview

This UNESCO World Heritage Volunteers (WHV) project invites participants from different countries and regions to live and work together. Through volunteer service, participants will learn about World Heritage and explore informal education methods for cultural transmission.

• Theme: The Feast of Na-Tcha and Intangible Cultural Heritage in Macau
• Dates: June 11, 18–19, 2022
• Main Location: Macau Historic Centre
• Meeting Point: Macao New Chinese Youth Association (MNCYA) – Rua de João de Almeida, No. 7 Edf. Iau-Luen, R/C I, Macau
• Target Participants: Youth aged 16–45 residing in Macau (including locals, mainland Chinese, and foreigners)
• Quota: 22 participants
• Language Requirement: Basic English proficiency (Mandarin and Cantonese are also welcome)
• Application Deadline: June 5, 2022
• Pre-camp Meeting: June 10, 2022, 18:00–19:00

Fees & Deposit

• Participation Fee (payable upon acceptance):
  • Members: MOP 400
  • Non-members: MOP 550
• Fee Includes: Basic meals (3 per day), transportation, and activity materials during the project.
• Deposit: MOP 150 (refundable after submitting event feedback and achieving 70% attendance).

Certificates & Benefits

• Participants with 70% or higher attendance will receive a certificate.
• Outstanding volunteers with certificates will receive priority for:
  • "Education Without Borders" mountain teaching program in Liannan.
  • "Excellent Volunteer Domestic Study Tour" in Changsha.

Notes

• Priority will be given to first-time participants and those who can attend the pre-camp meeting.
• No accommodation will be provided to comply with epidemic prevention guidelines.
