Overview

The Macau Innovation Technology Center and the Higher Education Services Office jointly present the Macau Information and Communication Technology Entrepreneurship Plan Competition 2018 (InnoICT Entrepreneurship Plan Competition 2018). This competition aims to cultivate more creative enterprises in Macau and promote the development of innovative ICT in the region. It is specifically designed for students from higher education institutions. The Macau Innovation Technology Center will provide winning teams with a genuine opportunity to implement their business plans, supported by a series of rewards and hardware/software assistance from all organizing, sponsoring, and supporting units.

Competition Objectives

• Encourage and promote innovative thinking among Macau's higher education students.
• Foster innovation and development in the local information and communication technology sector, supporting students in realizing their entrepreneurial aspirations.
• Strengthen cooperation and communication between the ICT industry and the education sector.

Team Composition Requirements

• Teams must consist of 1 to 5 students, who may freely combine from different higher education institutions.
• At least half of the team members must hold a Macau Resident Identity Card. Macau students studying abroad may also form teams with local students.
• Individuals who have previously participated in and won awards in this competition are not eligible.
• Participants may invite advisors to guide them on competition matters and plan preparation.
• The presentation of the business plan must take place in Macau.
• The business plan must be related to information and communication technology.

Schedule

• April: Online registration opens on April 16, 2018.
• June: Registration closes on June 20, 2018.
  • Mandatory attendance at the InnoICT Entrepreneurship Plan Competition Workshop on June 29, 2018. The workshop aims to teach students how to write a business plan and will feature guest speakers sharing their experiences.
• July: Teams must submit their business plans by 5:00 PM on July 31, 2018.
• August:
  • The organizing committee will announce the list of finalists on August 10, 2018.
  • The final round, featuring concept presentations, will be held from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on August 25, 2018.
  • The awards ceremony and announcement of results will take place at 12:30 PM on August 27, 2018.
• Note: The venue for the awards ceremony is to be determined. All dates are subject to change based on actual circumstances.
