Overview
The Macau Information and Communication Technology Entrepreneurship Plan Competition 2013 (InnoICT 2013) was jointly organized by the Macau Innovation Technology Center and the Higher Education Services Office. This competition aimed to nurture more creative enterprises in Macau and promote the development of innovative information and communication technology (ICT) within the region. The event was specifically designed for tertiary education students.
Winning teams were provided with a genuine opportunity to implement their business plans, supported by a series of rewards and software/hardware assistance from the organizers, sponsors, and supporting units.
Objectives
- Encourage and promote innovative thinking among Macau's tertiary students.
- Foster innovation and development in the local ICT sector, supporting students in realizing their entrepreneurial ambitions.
- Strengthen cooperation and communication between the ICT industry and the education sector.
Team Composition Rules
- Teams must consist of 1 to 5 students. Team members can be freely combined from students of different tertiary institutions.
- At least half of the team members must hold a Macau Resident Identity Card. Macau students studying abroad may also form teams with local students from their host country.
- Individuals who have previously participated in and won awards in the Macau ICT Entrepreneurship Plan Competition are not eligible to enter.
- Teams may invite a faculty advisor to guide them on competition matters and the preparation of their business plan.
- The presentation/demonstration of the business plan must take place in Macau.
- The business plan must be related to Information and Communication Technology.
