About the Event

The Macau Association of Parents of the Mentally Handicapped (家協會) is a non-profit social service group spontaneously organized by a group of parents of people with intellectual disabilities. Members uphold the spirit of self-help and mutual assistance, supporting and encouraging each other, with the aim of raising social awareness and fighting for learning opportunities and reasonable rights for people with intellectual disabilities.

The Association was approved and registered as a statutory organization by the government on February 29, 1992.

Event Details

• Date: May 9–10, 2015 (Saturday & Sunday)
• Flag Selling Activity: A traditional fundraising event where volunteers sell small flags or badges on the street to collect donations.
