Event Overview

In line with its mission to provide a performance platform for local young musicians, the Macao Piano Association has been organizing the Macao Young Pianist Series since 2009. This initiative assists young Macao pianists specializing in piano performance to realize their dream of performing in Macao. To date, the series has successfully featured over a dozen local young pianists from various music conservatories and universities.

The 2019 edition of the series features two recent graduates from the piano performance program at Wright State University in Ohio, USA: Ms. Tang Xiwen and Ms. Au Ka Lei. Both performers have delivered outstanding school performances and have won numerous piano competition awards and scholarships both on and off campus, earning praise from their professors.

In addition to the two main performers, the concert will feature a special guest: their friend Ms. Xu Minchun, who also holds a Master's degree in piano performance from Wright State University.
