Purpose
To encourage students to unleash their creative potential and actively express holiday greetings to teachers, family, and friends.
Eligibility
- Students enrolled in higher education programs at Macao tertiary institutions.
- Macao residents studying in higher education programs outside Macao.

A) Christmas and New Year
B) Chinese New Year (Year of the Horse)
Entry Format
Eligible students may participate individually or in teams (no limit on team size).
Submission Requirements
- Design: Must be an animated design.
- Pixel Dimensions: 600 (width) x 400 (height) pixels.
- File Size: Within 600KB.
- File Formats: Animated GIF, SWF, or FLV.
- (If created with Flash, the FLA source file must also be submitted.)
- Note: Submissions not meeting the specifications will be disqualified.
- All entries must be original designs. Any infringement of intellectual property rights will result in disqualification, and the participant/team will be required to return all awards and bear all legal responsibilities.
Judging Criteria
- Relevance to Theme: 30%
- Originality: 30%
- Overall Design: 40%
Additional Rules
- Participants/teams may submit designs for both themes, but only one entry per theme.
- The winning entries (in whole or in part) will be jointly owned by the organizer and the participant/team.
- Participants/teams must notify the organizer in writing before using the winning work.
- The organizer reserves the right to make appropriate modifications to the works and to publish them on the website of the Higher Education Services Office and the Macao Tertiary Student Blog for public download.
Awards
For each theme, the following prizes will be awarded:
- Champion: MOP 10,000
- 1st Runner-up: MOP 6,000
- 2nd Runner-up: MOP 4,000
Winners will also receive a certificate of award. Judges reserve the right not to award any prize if the submission standard is not met.

A selection committee formed by the Higher Education Services Office.

From now until October 27, 2013.
How to Register & Submit
- Participants/teams must complete online registration on the organizer's website within the registration period.
- Online registration requires:
- The competition entry (file size not exceeding 600KB).
- Copies of ID cards for all team members (front and back, not exceeding 1024KB).
- Copies of student cards for all team members (not exceeding 1024KB).
Results Announcement
The competition results will be announced on the Macao Tertiary Student Blog website (http://studentblog.gaes.gov.mo) starting November 29, 2013. Winners will be notified via email or SMS.
