This concert, titled "Beat & Roll," marks the ninth anniversary of the Macao Percussion Association. It explores the fusion of rock, jazz, and traditional percussion music. The performance aims to break conventional boundaries by combining these distinct genres, creating a unique and vibrant soundscape on stage.
Over the past eight years, the association has experimented with various performance styles, integrating popular elements into classical music and incorporating drama into percussion to introduce local percussion theater.
For this ninth edition, the concert continues to push the limits of traditional percussion. It will feature rhythmically intense percussion works and reimagined classical pieces that have been "rockified" or "jazzed up."
