Program Overview
An exchange program designed to broaden the international perspectives of Macao university students. It aims to enhance understanding of EU organizations, the relationship between the EU and Macao, and various aspects of European culture, education, and economy, fostering exchange and cooperation between Macao and the EU.

- Target Participants: Holders of a valid Macao Resident Identity Card who are non-graduating students in their second year or above of a bachelor's degree program, studying either in Macao or abroad.
- Visit Dates: June 13–19, 2015

- Quota: 20 students
- Application Period: From now until March 31, 2015
Application Requirements
Online registration via the official webpage is required, along with the upload of the following documents:
- Copy of Macao Resident Identity Card and Student Card.
- Copy of academic transcripts from freshman year to the most recent period.
- Personal resume (with photo), which may include:
- Professional training attended.
- Experience in serving the community using personal expertise or academic knowledge, or other social service/participation.
- Specialties.
- Awards (e.g., from sports, arts, recreational, or public competitions).
- An essay of no less than 800 words outlining personal expectations for the program and a proposed one-day itinerary in Brussels designed to broaden horizons and deepen understanding of the EU or Europe.
- Letter of recommendation (if available).
Selection Process
A selection committee formed by representatives from the "European Affairs Master's Graduate Association" and the organizing office will conduct the selection:
- Resume screening (outstanding candidates proceed to the interview stage).
- Interview (conducted primarily in English).
Important Dates
- Interview Dates: April 20–24, 2015 (Online interviews via free video software for students not in Macao).
- Announcement of Selected Candidates: April 30, 2015.
- Deadline for Supplementary Documents (for selected students): May 9, 2015.
Program Structure (Three Phases)
Selected students must complete Phases 1 and 3 to participate in the Phase 2 visit. Absence will result in automatic disqualification.
Phase 1 (June 11, 2015)
- Preparatory Course: A 2.5-hour introductory session on the EU.
- Pre-departure Meetings: Students form groups to research and plan itinerary suggestions, followed by a full-group meeting to finalize arrangements.
Phase 2: Visit to Belgium (June 13–19, 2015)
- June 13: Depart Macao for Hong Kong, then fly to Brussels via a transit point.
- June 14: Arrive in Brussels.
- June 15: Visit EU organizations and the EU Office to Hong Kong and Macao in Brussels.
- June 16: Visit EU organizations and the International School of Protocol and Diplomacy.
- June 17: Visit the College of Europe in Bruges.
- June 18: Visit local youth facilities; evening departure from Belgium to Hong Kong via transit.
- June 19: Return to Macao from Hong Kong.
Phase 3 (Post-Visit)
- Debriefing Meeting: June 24, 2015.
- Outcomes Sharing Session: August 28, 2015. Participants share their experiences and how they implemented their proposed plans through reports, short videos, etc.
Participant Obligations
- Attend all preparatory courses, meetings, the debriefing, the sharing session, and other related arrangements.
- Submit a reflection report of no less than 1,000 words to the organizing office within ten working days after the program concludes.
