About the Performance

Internationally renowned and charismatic Bulgarian violinist Svetlin Roussev, who has been active on major world stages and won numerous awards since clinching the gold medal at the first Sendai International Music Competition in 2001, will lead the Macao Orchestra as both conductor and violin soloist. The programme features masterpieces by three great composers. Paganini's violin concerto is widely recognized for its exceptional virtuosity, while Beethoven's Fourth Symphony is graceful and elegant yet full of vitality. German composer Robert Schumann once likened this symphony to a "gentle Greek maiden" standing between two "Nordic giants"—the Eroica and the Fate symphonies.
