Concert Introduction

'Love is Simple' is one of the signature projects of the Macau Band Directors Association (MBDA), presented by its subordinate Macau Youth Symphonic Band (MYSB). This concert uniquely blends wind music with popular music. The performance will feature renowned local saxophonist Timothy Sun, who is active in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Macao, and Hugo Loi, a recent Master's graduate in saxophone performance from the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, Netherlands, alongside the Macau Youth Symphonic Band. With the saxophone's delicacy and agility, elegant and soft vocals, and the powerful live accompaniment of a large wind ensemble performing the latest pop songs, this concert promises to offer audiences a fresh perspective on the versatile performance styles of wind music.
