To further develop the Mandarin's House as a "World Heritage Youth Education Base" and enhance local youth's understanding and awareness of World Heritage protection, the Cultural Affairs Bureau has established an interactive exhibition zone for the "Macao Historic Centre" at the Mandarin's House, with guided tours available from September 21.
The Mandarin's House was designated as a "World Heritage Youth Education Base" in 2018 by the UNESCO World Heritage Training and Research Centre for the Asia-Pacific Region (Suzhou), recognizing its efforts in preserving and promoting Macao's World Heritage. This exhibition focuses on the "Macao Historic Centre," using interactive methods to showcase its inscription journey, universal values, and the composition of its sites. It features motion-sensing interactive games and a family-friendly space, allowing young people to learn about Macao's World Heritage in an engaging and fun way.
The Cultural Affairs Bureau will continue to monitor the pandemic situation and actively follow the guidelines issued by health authorities to ensure proper epidemic prevention measures. For more event details, please visit the Cultural Affairs Bureau website at www.icm.gov.mo.
