Purpose

To encourage higher education students to unleash their creative potential, share their university life experiences through designing mobile app stickers, enhance their sense of belonging to their institutions, and strengthen cohesion among students.

Eligibility

• Students enrolled in higher education programs at Macao institutions for the 2019/2020 academic year.
• Macao students enrolled in higher education programs at institutions outside Macao for the 2019/2020 academic year.

Submission Period

From March 18, 2020 to April 27, 2020.

Theme & Competition Rules

Theme: Designs should revolve around the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and convey positive messages. The specific theme is open.

Participation Format:

• Eligible students may participate individually or as a team (2-3 persons). Each participant can only enter once, either individually or as part of a team.
• Each entry (individual or team) is limited to one submission.

Submission Requirements:

• Quantity: 8 images
• Image Size: 800 × 800 pixels
• File Format: .png
• Sticker Pack Name: Within 10 characters
• Description: Within 200 characters
• Resolution: 72dpi or higher
• Color Mode: RGB
• Additional Notes:
  • If compressing all images into one ZIP file, the ZIP must not exceed 5MB.
  • All images must have transparent backgrounds.

Registration & Submission

Participants must submit their entries during the submission period via one of the following methods:

1. Online Submission: Fill in personal and work details (including name, institution, major, year, contact phone, email, copies of ID and student card) and upload the work online.
2. In-Person Submission: Download the application form, fill in personal and work details, place the required documents and CD in a sealed envelope marked "Macao Higher Education Student Tribe Mobile App Sticker Design Competition," and submit it in person to the University Student Centre under the organizing bureau.

Prizes

• Champion (1 winner): MOP 5,000 cash prize and certificate.
• First Runner-up (1 winner): MOP 4,000 cash prize and certificate.
• Second Runner-up (1 winner): MOP 3,000 cash prize and certificate.
• Merit Awards (4 winners): MOP 2,000 cash prize and certificate each.
• Online Popularity Award (1 winner): MOP 1,000 cash prize and certificate.

Judging Criteria

1. The judging panel consists of representatives from the organizing institution and professionals from relevant fields in Macao. Prizes (Champion, Runner-ups, Merit) will be awarded based on:
   • Relevance to Theme (30%)
   • Creativity (30%)
   • Overall Design (40%)
2. Submitted works will be uploaded to the Macao Higher Education Student Tribe website for public voting. The work with the most votes during the voting period will win the "Online Popularity Award." In case of a tie, the judging panel will decide.
3. The judging panel reserves the right to withhold awards if no entry meets the required standard.

Result Announcement

1. The winners' list will be announced on the website of the Higher Education Bureau and the Macao Higher Education Student Tribe in late May 2020. Winners will be notified separately.
2. Winning works will be uploaded to the Macao Higher Education Student Tribe mobile app for public download and use.
