Purpose
To encourage higher education students to unleash their creative potential by designing stickers for a mobile app, sharing their university life experiences, enhancing their sense of belonging to their institutions, and strengthening cohesion among students.
Eligibility
- Full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Macao higher education institutions for the 2018/2019 academic year.
- Macao students enrolled in full-time undergraduate programs at higher education institutions outside Macao for the 2018/2019 academic year.
Submission Period
From now until April 22, 2019.
Theme & Rules
- Designs must revolve around university life; the specific theme is open.
- Participation Format: Eligible students can participate individually or in teams of 2-3 people. Each participant can only enter once, either individually or as part of a team.
- Submission Limit: Each participant/team is limited to one submission.
- Work Requirements: If compressing all images into a single ZIP file, the file must not exceed 5MB. All images must have their backgrounds removed.
Registration & Submission
Participants must submit their entries during the submission period via one of the following methods:
- Online Submission: Fill in personal and work details (including name, institution, major, year, contact phone, email, copies of ID and student card) and upload the work.
- In-Person Submission: Download the application form, fill in personal and work details, place it along with required documents and a CD in a sealed envelope marked "Macao Higher Education Student Blog Sticker Design Competition," and submit it in person to the Student Centre under the Higher Education Bureau.
Judging Criteria
A judging panel composed of representatives from the organizing institution and local professionals in relevant fields will select the champion, runner-up, third place, and merit awards based on:
- Relevance to Theme (30%)
- Creativity (30%)
- Overall Design (40%)
Submitted works will be uploaded to the Macao Higher Education Student Blog website for public voting. The work with the most votes during the voting period will receive the "Most Popular Online Award." In case of a tie, the judging panel will decide. The panel reserves the right not to award the prize if no work meets the standard.
Results Announcement
The winners' list will be announced on the Higher Education Bureau and Macao Higher Education Student Blog websites in late May 2019. Winners will be notified separately.
Winning works will be uploaded to the Macao Higher Education Student Blog mobile app for interested users to download.
Award Ceremony
To be held in late May 2019. Specific arrangements will be announced separately.
Other Rules
- All entries must be original designs, not previously submitted to other competitions or publicly published.
- Entries must not contain obscene, vulgar, violent, defamatory, or commercial promotional content and must not infringe upon any third-party copyrights, trademarks, or other rights. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify entries and pursue legal action, with all legal responsibilities borne by the participant.
- Submitted works will not be returned. The Higher Education Bureau holds the copyright and usage rights. The Bureau may use the works in whole or in part for promotional purposes, including reproduction, distribution, display, broadcasting, promotion, uploading to the internet, or other public education purposes, without prior notice.
- Winners must provide an additional photo (W 950 × H 500 pixels) for author introduction purposes.
- In case of any discrepancy between the Chinese, Portuguese, and English versions of these rules, the Chinese version shall prevail.
- The Higher Education Bureau reserves the right to interpret the rules.
