Overview
The Macao Chinese Orchestra's 2014-2015 music season is set to begin, featuring a series of concerts that showcase the beauty and diversity of Chinese music. The season opens with the 'Blooming Ceremony' concert, promising an exciting lineup of performances throughout the year.
Opening Concert: Blooming Ceremony
The season kicks off on Sunday, September 14, 2014, at 8:00 PM at the Macao Cultural Centre Grand Auditorium.
- Conductor: Peng Jiapeng, Music Director and Principal Conductor.
- Featured Artists: The Macao Chinese Orchestra will be joined by the Oriental Chinese Orchestra of the Wuhan Conservatory of Music.

Concert Series
The orchestra has meticulously planned a diverse season with several themed series:
- Classic Series: Includes the opening concert and a special International Music Festival performance, George Lam with the Macao Chinese Orchestra.
- Festival Series: Features concerts celebrating Macao's Handover and Christmas.
- Special Production Series: Includes Song of Macao, Wang Fujian with the Macao Chinese Orchestra, and four specialized concerts focusing on wind, plucked, bowed, and percussion instruments.
- Outreach Series: Educational and community concerts at schools, care homes, museums, and Macao's UNESCO World Heritage sites.

- General Admission: Ticketed event.

50% Discount (Half Price):
- Purchase 8 or more tickets for any concert(s).
- Full-time students with valid student ID (limit one half-price ticket per student per concert).
- Senior citizens with a valid Senior Citizen Card (limit one half-price ticket per senior per concert).
20% Discount:
- Teachers with a valid teacher's certificate for any number of tickets.
- Holders of Banco Nacional Ultramarino (BNU), Bank of China (including the Multi-Currency BOC Card), or Wing Hang Bank credit cards for any number of tickets.
Note: Concerts held at the Dom Pedro V Theatre (Mirror Hall) have unassigned seating, no discounts apply, and tickets are uniformly priced at MOP 30.
Audience Guidelines
- Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the performance.
- Silence mobile phones and pagers during the performance.
- No smoking, eating, or drinking in the venue. Noisemaking plastic bags, dangerous items, drinks, or food are prohibited.
- Unauthorized audio/video recording or photography is not permitted.
- Please refrain from applauding between movements of a piece.
- One ticket per person. Admission by ticket only.
- Children under six years old are not admitted.
- The organizer reserves the right to change the program and performers.
