When visiting Macau, beyond exploring the historic centre and tasting local delicacies, make a stop at the Lusophone Countries Food Display Centre to discover the unique characteristics of food from Portuguese-speaking nations. The centre showcases over 700 food items from seven countries: Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, and Timor-Leste.
From now until August 27, 2016, special promotional sales events are held every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in collaboration with local entrepreneurs. These events allow visitors to learn about Lusophone food and beverages through hands-on experience, supporting Macau's development as a "Distribution Centre for Food Products from Portuguese-speaking Countries."
A unique feature is that every product in the centre has its own QR code. Simply scan with your mobile phone to instantly access online information about the product's manufacturer or agent, including company background and product details.
