Event Purpose

Bidding for Lunar New Year market stalls is often a stage for young people to get their first taste of business and put innovative ideas into practice. To encourage and support young people participating in the Lunar New Year market stalls to realize their entrepreneurial ideals, following last year's 'Wanjia Tonghuan Lunar New Year Market Stall Youth Creative Entrepreneurship Competition', the Economic Affairs Bureau and the Youth Entrepreneurship Think Tank Association will jointly organize the 'Lunar New Year Market Stall Youth Entrepreneurship Competition' in early 2018. The aim is to encourage aspiring young entrepreneurs to promote the appropriate diversification of Macau's economy through their innovative and creative concepts.

The event will evaluate the marketing concepts and strategies of the winning stalls, their decoration style, the design meaning and creativity of their products, and their market promotion. This allows participants to leverage the operational philosophy of their winning stall and the sales strategy of their products to exercise innovative thinking and gain business experience in the process. Furthermore, specialized workshops have been added. Through guidance from industry professionals, winners can absorb their expertise and experience. At the same time, this strengthens the importance of intellectual property protection for products among those who aspire to or have already started a business, making the entrepreneurial or operational journey smoother.

Eligibility Criteria

• Participants must be winning bidders or assisting operators (Macau residents) of the Tap Seac Square Lunar New Year Flower Market. They may also authorize a qualified assisting operator to register for the competition. The authorization document must be submitted together with the competition application form.
• Age: 18 - 44 years old.
• Participation can be as an individual or a team. Each group can only submit one competition application form.
• Entry Fee: No fee is required to participate in the competition.

Submission of Competition Documents

Participating groups must submit their competition application form by 6:00 PM on December 27, 2017, using one of the following methods:

1. Email Submission: Email the competition application form content, written description, and the required documents to [email protected]. The total size of email attachments must not exceed 20 MB.
2. In-person Submission: Submit the competition application form, written description, and the required documents in person to the Youth Entrepreneurship Think Tank Association.
