Competition Overview
Organized by Caritas Macau, the "Love Life" essay competition aims to promote and deepen mental health education across Macau. It encourages society to extend a helping hand to those in despair or facing difficulties, inspiring them to face life bravely.
Competition Details
- Organizer: Caritas Macau
- Sponsor: Health Bureau of the Macao SAR Government
- Eligibility: Must hold a Macau Resident Identity Card.
- Submission Deadline: March 4, 2013
- Results Announcement: Late March 2013, published in local newspapers. Winners will be contacted directly.
Competition Categories
- Student Category: Primary and secondary school students.
- Open Category: Individuals aged 18 or above.
- Rehabilitation Category: Individuals recovering from mental illness.
Submission Guidelines
- Theme: "Love Life". Entries can be realistic or fictional, with a free choice of title and literary style.
- Word Count: 400–1500 words (same for all categories).
- Format: Typed in MS Word 2003 or later, A4 size, MingLiU font, size 12, vertical page orientation with horizontal text.
- Submission Methods:
- Email: Send the electronic file along with the completed entry form to [email protected].
- In-person: Submit printed manuscripts with the entry form to the Caritas Library.

Additional Information
- Judging Criteria: Ability to express care for individuals with emotional distress, despair, helplessness, or suicidal thoughts.
- Judges: Professionals from the education and cultural sectors.
- Rules:
- Entries must be original and not plagiarized. Violations will result in disqualification.
- Submitted works will not be returned. Copyright belongs to the organizer.
- Judges' decisions are final. The organizer reserves the right of final interpretation of the competition rules.
