This performance is the seventh installment of the Macao Youth Pianist Series. Organized since 2009, this series aims to help young Macao pianists majoring in piano performance fulfill their dream of performing in Macao. So far, the series has successfully presented six concerts, assisting nine young pianists from various music conservatories.
The seventh concert features two talented young Macao pianists, Ms. Lou Ka Yuen and Ms. Wang Shu Rong, both of whom graduated from Wright State University in the United States in 2013. The organizers, in line with their mission to provide performance platforms for young musicians, continue to dedicate 2013 to hosting concerts for young artists and graduation recitals, contributing to Macao's arts scene.
Both artists received scholarships from the Macao Foundation and the Cultural Affairs Bureau to pursue their piano studies abroad. Throughout their university years, they earned multiple school recognitions and competition awards. This concert serves as a musical tribute to express their gratitude to their families, the government, and all their supporters.
