How long has it been since you listened to a story under a big tree, did some crafting, and played games together?
The opportunity is here! In the rich autumn of November, one of the extension activities of Lost City Poetry Trail: 'Foreign Drift' Ocean Story & Family Workshop will be held at Largo do Pagode do Bazar, sharing stories, moving our bodies, and creating crafts with all the big and little friends!
We are delighted to introduce the experienced children's education and family craft facilitators, Sister Niu Niu and Sister Gui Gui! They will personally illustrate a cute and interesting picture book story, guiding participants through the oral history of a group of Korean fishermen 200 years ago. The story recounts how they weathered storms, eventually arriving in what was then Luzon, Okinawa, and Macao! They stayed in Macao for a period before finally returning to their hometown to reunite with their families. What did they experience? What were their impressions of Macao 200 years ago? Come and join this ocean story, listening to this tale of drift under the big tree!
After the storytelling, Sister Niu Niu and Sister Gui Gui will lead everyone in a craft activity. Using eco-friendly recycled materials, you'll create colorful little fish—vibrant and ever-changing in form—to unleash creativity and imagination together! Some of the crafted works will be publicly exhibited in next year's Lost City Poetry Trail exhibition, where children can find their own little creations!
