The Luban Lock is a beam-column structure invented by Master Lu Ban during the Warring States period 2,500 years ago. This course teaches the principles of the Luban Lock using basic woodworking techniques and tools such as saws, files, and drills.

Today, making a Luban Lock is considered the highest standard in learning woodworking, as the mortise and tenon joint is the most challenging part of the craft. Beyond training dexterity, this course allows participants to appreciate the essence of traditional culture.

Notes

1. The instructor will provide tools for the course.
2. The material fee covers all supplies needed for the workshop.
