Held in observance of the United Nations' World Refugee Day (June 20), the Macau Association for Refugees’ Welfare presents a special film sharing day. The event features the documentary "Life on the Border." Admission is free, and voluntary donations are welcomed. All funds raised will be donated to assist refugees worldwide through the UNHCR.
A documentary made by eight children from Kobani and Shengal in refugee camps on the border of Syria and Iraq. They recorded their own life experiences and stories in the wake of brutal attacks by ISIS. Through the camera, they express their strong desire for a stable life, reveal the painful experiences their families endured after the outbreak of war, and call for global attention and support to help change their tragic fate.
