A special event combining a talk on simple living with a community gift exchange.
Mr. Au Kei-fuk was born in Macau in 1941. He graduated from the Chemical Engineering Department of National Taiwan University and pursued postgraduate studies in Polymer Chemistry in Switzerland. In 1972, he returned to Taiwan to work in the research department of Formosa Plastics Group. He resigned in 1983 and began living a simple life in Hualien's Salt Marsh, embracing practices like carrying water, gathering firewood, cooking on a stove, growing vegetables, and foraging for wild food.
Do you have items at home that you haven't used for a long time but can't bear to throw away? This is your chance to find them a better home! Bring your unused items to the event and participate in the "Only Give, Not Sell" community gift exchange.
