Have a lot on your mind and wish someone could understand? Wondering how to express emotions like joy, sweetness, sorrow, or anger? Perhaps lyrics are the best way to convey them.
The iCentre's music composition and lyric writing courses, consistently led by the renowned Hong Kong-Macau music creator Joe Lei (李峻一), are proud to present their latest achievements. Each time a new batch of works is ready, iCentre hosts a mini concert for its students. This event marks the fifth such concert, fostering collaboration between composition and lyric writing students and featuring performances by local singers and bands to bring their creations to life.
At every concert, you can feel the vibrant energy of Macau's new musical talents. The lyrics reflect the thoughts of contemporary society and the younger generation, while the melodies create a resonant atmosphere that fills the venue.
Past students from these courses have frequently achieved outstanding results in various music competitions. For example, the collaborative piece "末日方舟" (Ark of the Apocalypse) won the championship, Best Composition, Best Lyrics, and Best Performance awards at the MACA Pop Song Composition Competition.
Joe Lei, who nurtures his students like delicate flowers, has noted that Macau offers a relatively free creative space where creators can experiment with new ideas without restrictions. This concert is an opportunity to witness how this new musical force blossoms freely. Your support will provide the nourishment these budding talents need to thrive.
Isn't it always a good way to use lyrics to express yourself?
