The Cultural Affairs Bureau presents the "Inner Harbour & Taipa Cultural Deep Tour: Performing Arts" event, featuring weekend performances at three historic locations. This initiative blends diverse performance arts with the community, incorporating mural creations and art installations to bring the public closer to art and add cultural tourism elements to the old districts of Inner Harbour and Taipa.
Performance Themes & Locations
A-Ma Temple Square
- Theme: "The Long History of Macao's Customs"
- Performers: Macao Yiwu Space, Dream Theatre Society, White Cloud Dance Troupe, Macao Chinese Orchestra, etc.
- Content: Presents the legend of Mazu culture, Macao's fishing village history, Chinese sacrificial rituals, and traditional customs.
Taipa Houses-Museum (Casas - Museu da Taipa)
- Theme: "Exotic Melodies Accompanying Midsummer"
- Performers: Macao Samba School, 5G Band, Indian Dance Group Victor Kumar & Bollywood Dreams Group, Post-80s Band, etc.
- Content: Features light music, traditional ethnic songs and dances, pop songs, modern dance, and music with exotic flavors.
Carmo Square (嘉模墟)
- Theme: "The Long History of Cultural Treasures"
- Performers: Macao International Tea Ceremony Association, Macao Chinese Percussion Association, Macao Calligrapher Mr. Choi Chuen Hing, Brothers Art Association, etc.
- Content: Introduces Chinese traditional culture such as tea art, ink painting and calligraphy, Chinese percussion music, and the Four Great Classical Novels. Interactive sessions and booth games are also available.
