Cultural Performances in Historic Neighborhoods

To foster the connection between artistic development and the community, the Cultural Affairs Bureau launched the "Inner Harbor & Taipa Cultural Deep Tour • Play" event in late June. Featuring diverse performance formats to engage the public, the event has been met with an enthusiastic response. The program continues with fixed-point performances from August 29 to September 13, held every Saturday and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, adding cultural and tourism elements to the old districts of Inner Harbor and Taipa.

Performance Highlights

Inner Harbor (A-Ma Temple Square):

• Performances by the Macao Chinese Orchestra, Brothers Art Association, Macao Long Feng Drama Association, Macao Culture and Arts Association, and Macao White Cloud Dance Troupe.
• Presentation of traditional Chinese arts such as Piu Sik (parade floats), ink wash painting, and Drunken Dragon Dance.

Taipa (Taipa Houses - Museum):

• Primarily music performances by Concrete/Lotus, Heart in Macao Portuguese Folk Dance Association, Macao Song and Dance Troupe, Js & I Band, and Macanese Band.
• A diverse repertoire including song and dance, rock music, and classic folk songs.

Taipa (Carmel Garden):

• Performances by renowned Macao calligrapher Choi Chuen Hing, Macao International Tea Ceremony Association, Macao Youth Chinese Orchestra, and Compass Creative Theatre Troupe.
• Featuring ethnic dances, ink calligraphy, and theatrical performances.

Interactive Experience

Interactive sessions are specially arranged at the performance sites, allowing the public to experience different customs and cultural characteristics and feel the artistic charm of the old districts.
