Program Overview
"I, Explorer 2015" is a comprehensive summer career planning program designed for Macau youth. The program uses the "LEGO" framework to guide participants through self-discovery and career exploration.
LEGO Framework:
- L: Leader – Develop leadership skills.
- E: Explore – Explore different industries and career paths.
- G: Goal – Set personal and professional goals.
- O: Operate – Learn practical skills and how to operate in the professional world.
Objectives
- Introduce students to career planning by helping them deeply understand their personality, abilities, and vocational interests.
- Provide exposure to various industries in a fun and engaging way, connecting students with professionals to understand the Macau job market.
- Unlock students' potential and enhance their teamwork skills.
- Make productive use of the summer holiday for personal development.
Program Details
- Format: Games, site visits, adventure-based learning, interactive teaching, workshops, and thematic lectures.
- Target Participants: 80 Macau secondary school students aged 15 to 20.
- Registration Period: From now until July 11, 2015.
- Program Dates: July 19 to August 25, 2015.
- Schedule: Primarily on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 14:00 to 17:00.
- Total Hours: Approximately 50 hours.
- Venues: Association premises, New Tribe 2, and others (see course schedule for details).
- Instructors: Career Planning Advisory Center counselors: Lau Chor Chun, Tang Chun Wa, Yau Un Teng, and Tam Sze Lui.
Fees & Certification
- Fee: MOP 50.
- Discount: A discounted rate of MOP 30 is available for those who "Like" and share a specified post on the Facebook event page "理想探索者/I, Explorer".
- Certification: Attendance will be recorded for all activities. Participants must attend all mandatory courses and maintain an attendance rate of 80% or higher to receive a graduation certificate and be eligible for a 3-day, 2-night graduation trip to Hong Kong. Participants with attendance below 80% will receive an attendance certificate only.
