How Arborists Care for Trees
A talk explaining the role of trees in the natural environment and plant growth concepts. Participants will learn to understand the 'body language' of trees from the outside in, and be introduced to correct concepts for nurturing, pruning, and transplanting trees. The speaker will share practical experience in tree assessment and pruning, and explain the environmental problems caused by over-pruning.

About the Speaker
Xiao Yuanbin graduated from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, majoring in Plant Protection and Entomology. He has participated in multiple insect species surveys in nature reserves and the renovation and organization of insect museum specimens. After returning to Macau, he worked in tree management for a private organization. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking and observing the sea, and assists in conducting horticultural therapy workshops and therapy groups.

- UK Lantra – Professional Tree Inspector (290327)
- Macau University of Science and Technology – Professional Diploma in Horticultural Therapy
