Join the Macau edition of the Hong Kong International Poetry Night for a special talk titled "Dialogue of Two Voices." This event features a rare and engaging poetry dialogue between mainland Chinese poet Mao Zi and Hong Kong poet Chung Kwok-keung.
Mao Zi, whose real name is Yu Qing, is from Yidu, Hubei, and currently resides in Yichang. Born in the 1960s, he has worked as a factory worker, salesman, self-employed businessman, and editor. He is a recipient of the Yangtze River Poetry Journal Annual Poet Award, the Wen Yiduo Poetry Prize, and the Li Du Poetry Prize. His published poetry collections include The Difficulty of Time and My Nostalgia Is Different from Yours.
Chung Kwok-keung is a graduate of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Hong Kong. He is a multi-award-winning poet, having received the Hong Kong Biennial Award for Chinese Literature, the Youth Literary Award, the Chinese Literary Creation Award, and the Hong Kong Arts Development Council Artist of the Year Award (Literary Arts). His extensive bibliography includes poetry collections such as Circled, Scenery on the Road, Doors, Windows, Wind and Rain, Urban Drifter, A House That Grows, Just Ordinary, An Umbrella Opening on the Road, and A Bright House After the Rain; essay collections Two Cities, Memory Has Trees, and Words as First Seen; a short story collection Sometimes Forgotten; and a literary criticism collection Floating Thoughts and Casual Reading.
