Concert Overview

Heartbeat of Percussion III brings together Macao's Bravo Percussion Ensemble, Shanghai's Nüsse Trio Percussion Ensemble, and Hong Kong's Chilian Drum Ensemble. They will showcase the power of percussion with lively and vibrant music on the Macao stage.

Performing Ensembles

Bravo Percussion Ensemble (Macao)

Founded in 1999, the ensemble has performed numerous times for various sectors of society to great acclaim. In 2011, they participated as the opening performance team in the Macao SAR Government's large-scale Handover celebration event, the Latin Fantasy Parade. The association holds themed concerts annually to bring fresh experiences to the public.

Chilian Drum Ensemble (Hong Kong)

Founded in 2006 by young percussionist Mr. Leung Ching Kit, the ensemble consists of over 20 youths. Since its establishment, it has participated in several editions of the "Hong Kong Vitality Drum 24 Forms" competition, accumulating over 30 awards. Chilian is dedicated to promoting traditional Chinese percussion culture and helping more people understand its joys, performing with a pure heart and passion to create wonderful repertoire for the audience.

Nüsse Trio Percussion Ensemble (Shanghai)

Composed of three professional musicians from different groups:

• Mr. Sun Zhongwei: Deputy Director of Shanghai Arrow Arts Training Centre and Principal Timpanist of the Shanghai Oriental Symphony Orchestra, formerly of the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra.
• Ms. Li Jingjing: Principal Keyboard Percussionist of the China National Symphony Orchestra in Beijing.
• Mr. Jin Chuan: Percussion Section Leader and Deputy Band Leader of the Beijing Wind Orchestra.

Half-price tickets are available for:

• Full-time students
• Seniors aged 65 or above
• Purchases of 10 tickets or more in one transaction

• No age restrictions. Children are welcome.
• One ticket per person. All attendees must purchase a ticket.
• Concert duration: Approximately 2 hours (including a 15-minute intermission).
