About the Concert

This premium folk music concert, originally launched by the China National Traditional Orchestra in collaboration with the Palace Museum, uses traditional Chinese music to connect the important festivals within the 24 solar terms of the Chinese calendar. The performance unfolds like a timeline, revolving around themes of the Lantern Festival, Qingming Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Qixi Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, Double Ninth Festival, Winter Solstice, and Chinese New Year. Through the form of a national orchestral ensemble, it tells the stories of these representative traditional Chinese festivals.

Featuring a grand ensemble of over 100 musicians, this concert presents a cultural feast that blends original Chinese music with the essence of Chinese festivals, tradition with modernity.
