Competition Theme: Temporary Community
Modern social dynamics are shifting. Long-term, fixed communities are giving way to temporary, short-term, task-oriented gatherings—a queue for an exhibition, a weekend workshop, or a temporary online team-up. How can fashion design create a sense of identity, belonging, and ritual for these 'temporary communities'? It's not about uniforms for permanent tribes, but about that fleeting moment of 'us' in a brief encounter.
Key Details:
- Eligibility: Young fashion designers under 40 years old (born after January 1, 1986). Nationality and region are not restricted.
- Entry Requirements: Submit a creative fashion design series (3-5 outfits, menswear or womenswear) that aligns with the theme. Entries must be original, unpublished works.
- Submission Process:
- Online registration via the official website.
- Submission of physical design portfolio (A3 size, max 4 pages), application form, and original commitment letter to the designated address.
- Important Dates:
- Submission Period: Now until July 2, 2026, 5:00 PM.
- Preliminary Judging: July 9 - July 19, 2026.
- Final & Award Ceremony: Mid-to-late October 2026 (Hangzhou).
- Awards & Benefits:
- Grand Prize (1): RMB 50,000, round-trip air ticket to China, one-week research trip.
- First Prize (2): RMB 20,000, round-trip air ticket to China, one-week research trip.
- Second Prize (2): RMB 15,000.
- Third Prize (3): RMB 5,000.
- Excellence Awards: RMB 2,500.
- Winners receive certificates/trophies from the China Fashion Association and gain access to the Hanbo Designer Salon for market opportunities.
