About the Competition
The 26th China International Young Fashion Designer Competition (commonly known as the "Hanbo Award") is now open for entries. The Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM) encourages and supports local designers to participate in this prestigious international fashion design contest. Young designers are welcome to apply before the deadline.
This international competition is jointly organized by the China Fashion Designers Association and the Hanbo International Group. It is open to all young fashion designers aged 35 or below, regardless of nationality or region. All submissions must be original, unpublished works.
Competition Theme & Requirements
- Theme: "Inheritance • Artisan Innovation" (傳承•匠新)
- Design: Men's or women's wear is acceptable.
- Series: Each entry must consist of 3 to 4 outfits.
- Criteria: Designs should possess distinct contemporary and cultural characteristics, unique style, fine craftsmanship, and complete accessories.
Prizes & Awards
- Gold Award (1 winner): RMB 50,000
- Silver Award (2 winners): RMB 20,000 each
- Bronze Award (2 winners): RMB 15,000 each
- Enterprise Recognition Award (1 winner): RMB 5,000
- Online Popularity Award (1 winner): RMB 5,000
- Excellence Awards (multiple winners): RMB 2,500 each
All winners will receive a certificate or trophy from the China Fashion Designers Association. Additionally, the Gold and Silver Award winners will each receive a round-trip air ticket to mainland China and a one-week arranged visit to a designated location.
Timeline & Process
- Submission Deadline: December 6, 2017, 9:00 PM
- Shortlist Announcement: Late December 2017
- Final Competition: Shortlisted contestants must bring their physical garments to Beijing in late March of the following year for the final judging.

- Online Registration: Register via the CPTTM event website: https://events.cpttm.org.mo
- Submission Location: Garment Technology Exchange Point, 10th Floor, Ocean Industrial Centre Phase 2, Rua dos Pescadores, Macau.
- Required Materials: Design sketches and all necessary documents must be submitted in person by the deadline.
