About the Workshop

When you think of 'sex education,' what comes to mind? Do you find it difficult to talk about? What is your attitude towards sex? How should sex education be initiated within the family? Who is suitable to teach it? These are common questions that arise when discussing family sex education.

The Macau Child Protection Association's Child Protection Centre is organizing a Parent Sex Education Workshop. The aim is to help parents master the skills to discuss sex with their children, build confidence in having these conversations, and foster good parent-child communication.

Workshop Schedule

Session 1: Enhancing Parental Skills

• Date: Saturday, June 22, 2024
• Time: 14:00–15:30
• Target Participants: Parents with children aged 8–12

Session 2: Parent Experience Session

• Date: Saturday, June 29, 2024
• Time: 14:00–15:30
• Target Participants: Parents with children aged 8–12

Session 3: Strengthening Parental Practice

• Date: Saturday, June 22, 2024
• Time: 16:30–18:00
• Target Participants: Parents with children aged 4–7

Session 4: Parent-Child Practice Session

• Date: Saturday, June 29, 2024
• Time: 16:30–17:30
• Target Participants: Children aged 4–7 and their parents

Key Information

• Venue: Child Protection Centre (G/F Shop H & 1/F, Royal Court, Nanjing Street, Taipa)
• Registration: Participants are welcome to register for all four sessions or just two sessions.
• Admission Fee:
  • 'Child Protection Friends' Members: MOP 40 for two sessions / MOP 80 for four sessions
  • Non-members: MOP 100 (flat rate)

Notes

1. Participants who attend all registered sessions will receive a copy of a 'Book on Solving Sex Education Issues'!
2. This activity is included in the '100% Parent Reward Program'.
