The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is a city cluster comprising Hong Kong, Macao, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Zhongshan, Dongguan, Zhaoqing, Huizhou, and Jiangmen. Foshan is located in the central-southern part of Guangdong, in the heart of the Pearl River Delta, forming a two-hour living circle with Hong Kong and Macao.
Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province, is led by advanced manufacturing. Its economy is driven by three pillar industries: automobiles, electronics, and petrochemicals. It is built upon six major advanced manufacturing bases for automobiles, ships and marine engineering equipment, nuclear power equipment, CNC equipment, petrochemicals, and high-quality steel, supported by over 50 industrial clusters and parks. The eastern region focuses on automobiles, petrochemicals, and electronics; the southern region on port-side equipment manufacturing; and the northern region on airport-based economy. In recent years, Guangzhou has established numerous youth innovation and entrepreneurship bases, providing various forms of support for young people from the Greater Bay Area to foster innovation and entrepreneurship. This study tour will guide participants to gain a deeper understanding of Guangzhou's industries and youth entrepreneurship opportunities.
