Program Highlights
The tour features three award-winning original plays:
- 'Utopia One' (Macao Best Script): A bizarre story exploring the issue of home ownership, aiming to resonate with audiences. Why should owning a home, a basic need, become an unattainable dream?
- 'The Lawyer of Guangdong' (Guangdong Best Script): A comedic tale of two imperial guards who travel to Guangzhou to track down the 'Ink Dragon Painting' and become entangled in a mysterious case. The script is rich in farce and double entendres.
- 'Waste Embryo' (Three-Region Best Script & Hong Kong Best Script): A uniquely satirical play that critiques social absurdities from a fresh perspective. The plot involves a government that, under the banner of building an elite city and concentrating limited resources, enacts the 'Waste Embryo Law' to forcibly test fetuses in the name of 'source reduction of waste.'
